Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for an Abu Dhabi infrastructure project. The role focuses on inspecting mechanical installations across water supply, drainage, pumping systems and utility networks, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, method statements and QA/QC requirements.

On-site work arrangement with Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office; UAE/GCC project experience preferred and comprehensive site quality oversight will be expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience as Mechanical Inspector on infrastructure and construction projects.
• Experience inspecting mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Practical experience with water supply systems, drainage, pumping systems, utility networks, and associated mechanical works.
• Ability to inspect construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC inspection procedures and associated documentation.
• UAE or GCC infrastructure project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical installations across water supply, drainage, pumping systems and related works.
• Verify installation, testing, and commissioning against drawings, specs, method statements and QA/QC requirements.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions and close-out.
