Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Reception Manager – Japanese Restaurant to join the resort’s Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of front-of-house experience in luxury hospitality, fluent English, and strong leadership to deliver Forbes Travel Guide–level service.

You will manage pre-arrival communications, VIP arrangements, and seating flow, coordinating with culinary and service teams to ensure a seamless guest experience at a premier UAE resort.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on experience managing reception or front-of-house in luxury settings.
• Fluent English communication with guests, employees, and management.
• Advanced multilingual capability is highly valued (Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or Italian).

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage pre-arrival guest communication, reservations, preferences, special requests, and VIP arrangements.
• Review guest profiles and histories to anticipate needs and deliver personalized service.
• Coordinate special occasions and VIP experiences with management, culinary, and service teams.
• Deliver a warm, polished, and personalized arrival experience aligned with Forbes standards.
• Recognize and manage VIP, repeat, and high-profile guests, ensuring seamless handover to the service team.
• Oversee reservations, waitlists, walk-ins, and queue management (SevenRooms).
• Collaborate with floor and culinary teams to optimize seating flow and guest waiting times.
• Lead, schedule, coach, and develop the reception team in guest engagement and system proficiency.
• Conduct daily briefings on reservations, VIPs, and service pacing; reinforce anticipatory service.
• Capture guest feedback and support service recovery to improve the guest experience.
