Job summary

BeWunder in Dubai seeks a lighting design engineer to plan, design, and document lighting systems for Event Production projects. You will create technical drawings, coordinate with audio/video and rigging, and support installation and commissioning.

You bring proven experience in live events, strong Vectorworks skills, and a solid understanding of DMX, power distribution, and control systems. Degree in Lighting Design or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical planning and lighting system design for live events.
• Strong proficiency in Vectorworks and producing detailed drawings.
• Experience coordinating lighting with other production disciplines (audio, video, rigging).
• Degree in Lighting Design or a related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and design of lighting systems across Event Production projects from concept to delivery.
• Develop technically sound lighting solutions translating creative intent into practical systems.
• Produce 2D/3D drawings with fixture layouts, rigging interfaces, cable routes, and power distribution.
• Maintain detailed lighting documentation including fixture schedules, specs, and schematics.
• Coordinate lighting with audio, video, rigging and other disciplines.
• Identify design clashes and risks early and propose mitigations.
• Support installation, programming, commissioning, rehearsals, and on-site delivery.
