Job summary

BeWunder is seeking a skilled Audio Systems Designer to join our Design & Engineering team in Dubai. You will lead technical planning and detailed Vectorworks drawings for event production, translating briefs into practical audio solutions and coordinating with lighting, video, and rigging to ensure integrated systems onsite.

The role requires strong Vectorworks proficiency, deep knowledge of audio system design, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a professional events

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical planning, audio system design, or a similar technical role in live events or related industries.
• Strong proficiency in Vectorworks and in producing detailed technical drawings for live events.
• Solid understanding of audio system design principles, signal flow, system integration, and equipment selection.
• Experience coordinating audio requirements with lighting, video, rigging, staging, power, and structures.
• Degree, diploma, or relevant technical qualification in Audio Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the technical planning and design of audio systems for Event Production projects through all stages from concept to delivery.
• Translate briefs into practical, technically sound audio solutions.
• Develop detailed 2D and 3D Vectorworks drawings including layout, positioning, cable routing, and rigging interfaces.
• Prepare audio system designs, signal flow diagrams, equipment specs and technical schematics.
• Carry out technical calculations to ensure coverage, performance, and integration.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines to deliver fully integrated solutions.
• Review venue drawings and project docs to identify requirements, interfaces, risks.
• Support equipment lists, scope of work, and supplier/subcontractor needs.
• Work with project teams to align technical solutions with scope, budget, and timeline.
• Assist tendering and pre-production with technical concepts and drawings.
