Job summary

BeWunder is seeking a lighting design professional to lead technical planning and diagramming for live event productions. You will create comprehensive Vectorworks drawings, fixture layouts, and installation details while coordinating with audio, video, rigging and staging teams.

You will develop schedules, equipment specs, and design documentation, with a focus on buildable, safe, and creative outcomes for multinational projects in the Middle East and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical planning and lighting design for live events.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks with detailed drawings for live environments.
• Strong understanding of DMX, data networking, power distribution and cabling.
• Experience coordinating lighting with audio, video, rigging, and staging.
• Experience working in the Middle East or international event production.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical planning and design of lighting systems for events from concept to delivery.
• Produce 2D/3D technical drawings, fixture layouts, rigging, and wiring details.
• Develop lighting documentation, schedules, specs, and patching information.
• Perform calculations for fixture types, quantities, loads, and control architecture.
• Coordinate lighting with other production disciplines and project teams.
• Identify risks and design clashes early and implement mitigations.
• Support installation, programming, commissioning, and on-site delivery.
• Develop standards, templates, and best practices for the Design & Engineering team.
