Job summary

LeadingEdge HR Solutions is seeking a Generator Supervisor to oversee generator assets in the UAE. The role is onsite in Dubai, full-time, with extensive travel and immediate joining required.

You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical generator systems, while ensuring HSE compliance and delivering accurate quotations. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least 5 years in generator maintenance or related fields, and proficiency in SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in generator maintenance or electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical generator systems, relay logic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SAP software.
• Valid manual driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of electrical generator systems and engine mechanical failures.
• Commission gensets at customer sites per standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules and procedures.
• Diagnose generator faults; create and execute repair plans with required parts/hours.
• Conduct electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, relay logic analysis, and component repair/ replacement.
• Use specialised tools and follow procedures to complete repairs safely.
• Complete generator servicing in line with business plan.
• Prepare accurate quotations for repair and maintenance works.
• Submit timely operational reports and maintain service records.
• Respond to after-hour call-out requests.
• Travel within the UAE region up to 80-90% of the time.
• Uphold HSE policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Participate in safety initiatives.

Role Overview

Our Client is a well-established organisation in the rental division urgently seeking a technically proficient Generator Supervisor to ensure the reliability, readiness, and optimal performance of company-owned generator assets across customer sites in the UAE. Immediate availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate hands‑on technical knowledge of electrical generator systems and engine mechanical failures.
• Commission company gensets at customer sites in accordance with operational standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities per documented schedules and procedures.
• Diagnose complex generator faults; create and execute job repair plans including required parts and anticipated hours.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, relay logic analysis, and repair or replace damaged generator components.
• Apply specialised tools and follow documented procedures to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Complete full generator servicing in line with the company business plan.
• Prepare accurate quotations for repair and maintenance works.
• Submit timely operational reports and maintain accurate service records.
• Respond promptly to after‑hour call‑out service requests from management.
• Travel within the assigned region up to 80‑90% of the time, including weekends and holidays on short notice.
• Uphold all company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Actively participate in company accident prevention and safety improvement initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in generator maintenance, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical generator systems, relay logic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex generator faults independently and within a team.
• Proficient in SAP (Systems, Applications & Products) software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid manual driving licence is mandatory.
• Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and travel extensively across the UAE.
• Must be immediately available to join candidates currently serving notice periods will not be considered.
