Role Context

The Generator Technician – Power Systems will support maintenance and operational reliability of generator equipment across facility management or maintenance projects. The role is important for ensuring backup power systems are inspected, serviced, repaired, and tested properly to reduce downtime and support continuous operations. This position contributes to safe and stable facility performance by combining generator maintenance skills, electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance routines, diagnostic testing, equipment operation, and site safety discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generator units used in facility management projects.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities according to approved schedules, checklists, and site procedures.
• Diagnose generator faults related to electrical systems, wiring, controls, batteries, alternators, panels, and power output.
• Conduct diagnostic testing to identify performance issues, abnormal readings, or operational faults.
• Support safe operation and testing of generators during planned maintenance and emergency requirements.
• Inspect electrical wiring, connections, control panels, cables, and related generator components.
• Report defects, breakdowns, spare parts requirements, and maintenance findings to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
• Follow safety protocols during equipment operation, electrical work, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with facility management teams, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to complete assigned work on time.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained safely and professionally.
• Support smooth facility operations by responding to generator‑related issues with practical fault‑finding and repair action.

Ideal Profile

• ITI or Diploma qualification in Electrical or a related technical discipline.
• 5‑8 years of experience in generator maintenance, electrical maintenance, or power systems support.
• Gulf experience in facility management or maintenance projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems troubleshooting and generator preventive maintenance.
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing and identify equipment faults accurately.
• Practical understanding of electrical wiring, power systems, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with maintenance teams when required.
• Strong attention to safety, service quality, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
