Job summary

Total Power Equipment in Dubai seeks an experienced diesel generator service engineer to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy-duty generator sets up to 2000 kVA. You will work on CAT, Cummins and Perkins engines, program DSE controllers, and perform ECU diagnostics in the field.

The role requires 10–15 years hands-on experience, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to work on site with customers. UAE labour law benefits apply and career growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of hands-on experience with heavy‑duty diesel generators up to 2000 kVA.
• Strong practical knowledge of Caterpillar C13/C15/C18, Cummins QSX/QSL, Perkins 2200/2300/2500/2800.
• Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in diesel generators.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Commission and test diesel generator sets.
• Configure and troubleshoot Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) controllers and perform related setup modules.
• Carry out engine ECU diagnostics using manufacturer software.
• Repair electrical control panels and generator wiring systems.
• Perform alternator testing and fault diagnosis.
• Conduct load bank testing and performance evaluation.
• Identify and rectify engine fuel, cooling, lubrication and electrical faults.
• Install, commission and synchronize multiple generator sets.
• Prepare service reports and maintenance records.
• Provide emergency breakdown support at customer sites.
• Ensure all work follows safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications
