Airwallex is seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager - UAE to establish and evolve the UAE risk management capability. You will align with global risk standards while enabling regulated payments and Stored Value facilities in the UAE.

In this role, you’ll work with Compliance, Legal, and regional leadership to ensure risk governance meets local regulatory expectations and supports responsible growth. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, STEM, or another quantitative field.
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in risk management or related functions within regulated industries.
• Experience with risk appetite, taxonomies, governance processes, and escalation.
• Familiarity with UAE financial services regulation and Central Bank requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executives, boards, or regulators.
• Ownership mindset with ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Adapt UAE risk architecture including appetite, taxonomy, governance, limits, escalation, reporting.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and UAE leadership on regulatory expectations.
• Translate risks into clear reports for UAE management and regional leadership.
• Act as a second-line advisor to challenge initiatives within risk appetite and controls.
• Support risk assessments and approvals for new products and changes in UAE.
• Develop UAE crisis management, resilience, and business continuity capabilities.
• Contribute to enterprise risk initiatives, dashboards, and data quality.
• Promote consistent risk standards across regulated entities in Airwallex.
