Airwallex is expanding its UAE operations and seeks an Enterprise Risk Manager to shape risk governance for the UAE market. You’ll align local risk practices with global standards while engaging stakeholders across Compliance, Legal and leadership to ensure responsible growth in stored value and retail payments.

You’ll lead risk architecture adaptation, drive reporting, and support product and market approvals in the UAE, contributing to resilient, scalable risk management globally.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, STEM or related quantitative field.
• 5–7+ years in risk management, operational risk, enterprise risk, compliance or audit.
• Experience with defense frameworks: risk appetite, taxonomies, governance and escalation.
• Familiarity with UAE financial services regulatory environment and Central Bank exposure.
• Proven ability to prepare risk papers and communicate with executives and regulators.
• High ownership and pragmatic approach in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.

Responsabilidades

• Adapt and operationalise Airwallex’s enterprise risk architecture for UAE.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal and UAE leadership on regulatory expectations.
• Translate risk data into clear, decision-useful reporting for management and board.
• Act as an independent second-line advisor to challenge initiatives within risk appetite.
• Support risk assessment and approvals for new products, services and markets in UAE.
• Develop UAE crisis management, resilience framework and business continuity drills.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide risk initiatives and improve risk reporting and tooling.
• Ensure local practices align with Group enterprise risk framework and standards.
• Build strong relationships with local and global stakeholders to foster risk culture.
