Job summary

IMPERIAL WAY GENERAL TRADING LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant / Procurement Officer to manage daily accounting, procurement, and import/export operations.

You will oversee UAE VAT, tax filing, supplier negotiations, and ERP usage (Odoo / Frappe). Strong Excel skills and independence are required to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in Accounting and/or Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and tax filing.
• Good practical experience with Odoo/Frappe ERP / Accounting system.
• Strong supplier negotiation and procurement skills.
• Good knowledge of UAE import/export and customs procedures, including BOE, customs duty, clearance, and shipping documentation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, supplier/customer accounts, payments, and reconciliations.
• Handle UAE VAT and tax filing requirements and maintain proper tax records.
• Manage purchasing and procurement activities from quotation to delivery.
• Source suppliers and negotiate best prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
• Manage Purchase Orders, supplier invoices, and procurement records.
• Coordinate import/export shipments, customs clearance, BOE, customs duties, freight, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs clearance agents, and logistics companies.
• Maintain accurate accounting and procurement records in Odoo/ Frappe ERP.
