Kerzner International’s Atlantis, The Palm property seeks a Carpenter Technician to perform preventive and corrective carpentry maintenance across guest rooms and public areas. You’ll work with the Engineering team to keep furniture, doors, wardrobes, and flooring safe, functional, and visually appealing.

• Proven carpentry and joinery skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of carpentry items.
• Repair guest room furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, and flooring.
• Install and adjust locks, hinges, door closers, handles, and door hardware.
• Repair wooden panels, moldings, partitions, and ceiling panels.
• Polish, sand, laminate repairs and finishing works.
• Fabricate wooden components from site measurements.
• Inspect guest rooms for carpentry defects and complete repairs promptly.
• Support renovations and room refurbishment projects.
• Maintain carpentry tools in safe condition and tidy work areas.
• Follow health, safety, and fire regulations.

The Carpenter Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation of carpentry , painting and joinery works throughout the property. This includes maintaining guest room furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, wooden flooring, wall panels, ceilings, and other wooden fixtures to ensure they remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The Carpenter works closely with the Engineering team to respond promptly to maintenance requests, support renovation projects, and maintain the hotel's quality standards while complying with all health, safety, and operational procedures to enhance the overall guest experience.

About the Role

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all carpentry-related items.
• Repair and maintain guest room gypsum ceiling, furniture , wardrobes, cabinets, drawers doors, door frames, skirting, and wooden flooring.
• Install , repair, and adjust locks, hinges, door closers, handles, and other door hardware.
• Repair damaged wooden panels, decorative moldings , partitions, and ceiling access panels.
• Carry out polishing, sanding, laminate repairs and finishing works.
• Fabricate wooden components according site measurements.
• Replace damaged plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, and solid wood components.
• Inspect guest rooms for carpentry defects and complete repairs promptly.
• Support renovation projects and room refurbishment activities.
• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment in safe working condition .
• Ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards after completing work.
• Follow all health, safety, and fire regulations.
• Coordinate with other engineering trades to complete maintenance works efficiently.
• Coordinate with Managers/Team Leaders to follow up service orders, Update the status of the tasks.
