Job summary

Atlantis Resorts in Dubai seeks a Carpenter Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of carpentry items across the property, including guest rooms, furniture, doors, flooring, and fixtures. You will work closely with the Engineering team to support renovations while upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include installing hardware, wood finishing, repairing panels, and coordinating with managers to ensure timely service orders.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry and joinery within a luxury hospitality setting.
• Repair and restoration of guest room furniture and fixtures.
• Door hardware installation and maintenance, wood finishing and polishing.
• Attention to detail, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Teamwork and clear communication with hotel guests during maintenance works.
• Safe use of hand and power tools; awareness of MEP-related repairs is a bonus.

The Carpenter Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation of carpentry, painting and joinery works throughout the property. This includes maintaining guest room furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, wooden flooring, wall panels, ceilings, and other wooden fixtures to ensure they remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The Carpenter works closely with the Engineering team to respond promptly to maintenance requests, support renovation projects, and maintain the hotel's quality standards while complying with all health, safety, and operational procedures to enhance the overall guest experience.

About The Role

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all carpentry-related items.
• Repair and maintain guest room gypsum ceiling, furniture , wardrobes, cabinets, drawers doors, door frames, skirting, and wooden flooring.
• Install , repair, and adjust locks, hinges, door closers, handles, and other door hardware.
• Repair damaged wooden panels, decorative moldings , partitions, and ceiling access panels.
• Carry out polishing, sanding, laminate repairs and finishing works.
• Fabricate wooden components according site measurements.
• Replace damaged plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, and solid wood components.
• Inspect guest rooms for carpentry defects and complete repairs promptly.
• Support renovation projects and room refurbishment activities.
• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment in safe working condition .
• Ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards after completing work.
• Follow all health, safety, and fire regulations.
• Coordinate with other engineering trades to complete maintenance works efficiently.
• Coordinate with Managers/Team Leaders to follow up service orders, Update the status of the tasks.
