Job summary

Atlantis The Royal seeks an Audio Visual Technician 2 to set up and dismantle AV for conferences and events, ensuring equipment meets Atlantis standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, test DB levels, coordinate with vendors, and support testing and safety. The role requires at least 2 years in AV, familiarity with event projection and QSC is a plus; benefits include medical, flights, and incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Audio Visual with event projection, lighting and audio.
• Experience with distributed resort audio systems; QSC is advantageous.
• Event/conference technician experience in 5-star environments is preferred.
• Proficient with professional digital audio mixing consoles.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; good communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services for events and internal clients; set up to Atlantis standards.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on resort AV equipment.
• Monitor external vendors' setups to meet Atlantis standards.
• Conduct DB level tests on background music and provide weekly reports.
• Perform first line maintenance, storage and cleaning of equipment; maintain safety.
• Work shifts as required and coordinate with AV team and stakeholders.
• Support solutions to technical problems in operations and safety.

The Technician 2 will be setting up and dismantle the Audio Visual equipment for conference and events throughout Atlantis The Royal, to assist with testing and maintenance of installed Audio Visual equipment.

About The Role

• To provide technical services to events and internal clients, ensure equipment is set up in line with Atlantis standards and SOP’s.
  • Ensure that scheduled preventative maintenance is carried out on all Resort owned Audio Visual equipment.
  • Implement all Audio Visual policies and procedures.
  • Ensure event technical requirements are met, and external contractors set up’s are monitored to meet Atlantis standards
  • Carry our regular DB level tests on the installed background music system, and provide weekly reports
  • Responsible for performing first line maintenance, storage and cleaning of all technical equipment as required
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all equipment is in proper working conditions.
  • This position will include shift work
• Communication between the Audio Visual team, its stakeholders and customers is maintained with a focus on collaboration.
• Critical Thinking – Being able to provide solutions to technical problems in the operations or related to compliance or safety.

About You

• Suitable experience, (minimum 2 years) in Audio Visual with an understanding of event projection, lighting, and audio systems.
• Experience working with distributed resort audio systems, firsthand experience with QSC an advantage
• Experience as an event / conference technician
• Experienced with 5 Star Hotels, Aqua Parks or Recreational Complexes etc.
• Competency on professional digital audio mixing consoles
• Strong problem solving / trouble shooting skills
• Fluent English an advantage
