Atlantis The Royal in Dubai seeks a seasoned facilities maintenance professional to inspect, perform and oversee preventive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and related systems within a luxury resort.

You will work with minimal supervision, support safety standards, coordinate with supervisors, train others, and cover shifts to ensure continuous operations in a world-class environment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in a facilities maintenance trade with trade school or higher education.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, kitchen, painting, carpentry, AV, fire life safety, water systems and related hotel infrastructure.
• Willingness to work shifts, follow safety guidelines, and train others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on facilities structures and equipment.
• Carry out maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and building systems per manufacturers’ and property guidelines.
• Report to Supervisor/Manager and escalate issues to senior personnel.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain tools; assist in training others.

Job is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.

About The Role

• Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 6 years and attended a trade school or upper education.
• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others

About You

• Understanding and work experience with electrical distribution circuitry including wiring, circuit protection, 3 and single phase power, motors, starters, electrical connecting devises, electrical controls, etc.
• Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of lighting fixtures and associate wiring and controls; electrical distribution transformers; guestroom management systems; central battery systems; diesel generators, building energy management, etc. systems.
• Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution boards; distribution switchgear system, low voltage, etc.
• Operational knowledge on use of electrical tools Amp Meter/Multimeter / Insulation Tester / Lugs crimping tools / Cable joint kit /
• Experience in monitoring and inspecting electrical distribution systems, electrical life safety systems, emergency lights, uninterrupted power systems, transfer switches and other emergency/safety electrical equipment.
• Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment & fixtures
