Job summary

Atlantis the Royal is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to maintain and inspect electrical systems across the property. You will work under supervision, perform preventive maintenance, and support critical hotel operations while upholding safety standards.

Role requires at least 6 years in facilities maintenance with electrical trades, strong knowledge of lighting, power distribution, and life-safety systems, and the ability to work a shift schedule on-site at the Palm Island Dubai resort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in facilities maintenance with electrical trade expertise.
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting and life-safety systems.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform work and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and related facilities.
• Execute CBMs and preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain tools, follow health and safety guidelines, and report issues to supervision.
• Provide shift coverage and assist in training others.

Job is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.

About the Role

• Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 6 years and attended a trade school or upper education.
• Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
• Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
• Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
• Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
• Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
• Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
• Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
• Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
• Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
• Will be required to teach and train others

About You

• Understanding and work experience with electrical distribution circuitry including wiring, circuit protection, 3 and single phase power, motors, starters, electrical connecting devises, electrical controls, etc.
• Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of lighting fixtures and associate wiring and controls; electrical distribution transformers; guestroom management systems; central battery systems; diesel generators, building energy management, etc. systems.
• Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution boards; distribution switchgear system, low voltage, etc.
• Operational knowledge on use of electrical tools Amp Meter/Multimeter / Insulation Tester / Lugs crimping tools / Cable joint kit /
• Experience in monitoring and inspecting electrical distribution systems, electrical life safety systems, emergency lights, uninterrupted power systems, transfer switches and other emergency/safety electrical equipment.
• Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment & fixtures
