Job summary

Atlantis The Royal, located on the Palm, Dubai, seeks an Audio Visual Technician 2 to set up and dismantle AV for conferences and events, testing and maintaining equipment to Atlantis standards.

Join a luxury team with 6,000 colleagues; you should have at least 2 years in AV, experience with event projection, lighting, and audio systems, and familiarity with QSC gear. Shift work included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Audio Visual with event projection, lighting, and audio.
• Experience with distributed resort audio systems; QSC experience is a plus.
• Event/conference technician with experience in luxury environments.
• Experience with 5-star hotels, aqua parks or similar recreational complexes.
• Competency on professional digital audio mixing consoles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Fluent English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services for events and internal clients per Atlantis standards.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on resort Audio Visual equipment.
• Implement all Audio Visual policies and procedures.
• Ensure event technical requirements are met and monitor external contractor set ups.
• Perform DB level tests on the background music system and provide weekly reports.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• This position includes shift work.
• Communicate with the AV team and stakeholders to ensure collaboration.
• Provide solutions to technical problems in operations, safety, or compliance.

The Technician 2 will be setting up and dismantle the Audio Visual equipment for conference and events throughout Atlantis The Royal, to assist with testing and maintenance of installed Audio Visual equipment.

About The Role

• To provide technical services to events and internal clients, ensure equipment is set up in line with Atlantis standards and SOP’s.
  • Ensure that scheduled preventative maintenance is carried out on all Resort owned Audio Visual equipment.
  • Implement all Audio Visual policies and procedures.
  • Ensure event technical requirements are met, and external contractors set up’s are monitored to meet Atlantis standards
  • Carry our regular DB level tests on the installed background music system, and provide weekly reports
  • Responsible for performing first line maintenance, storage and cleaning of all technical equipment as required
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all equipment is in proper working conditions.
  • This position will include shift work
• Communication between the Audio Visual team, its stakeholders and customers is maintained with a focus on collaboration.
• Critical Thinking – Being able to provide solutions to technical problems in the operations or related to compliance or safety.

About You

• Suitable experience, (minimum 2 years) in Audio Visual with an understanding of event projection, lighting, and audio systems.
• Experience working with distributed resort audio systems, firsthand experience with QSC an advantage
• Experience as an event / conference technician
• Experienced with 5 Star Hotels, Aqua Parks or Recreational Complexes etc.
• Competency on professional digital audio mixing consoles
• Strong problem solving / trouble shooting skills
• Fluent English an advantage
