Detailed Job Description

As a Technical Writer supporting Sight Spectrum in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of technical documentation creation, release note management, audit compliance, and documentation lifecycle workflows across enterprise digital platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and managing accurate technical documentation and software release notes for enterprise software systems and digital platforms, documenting new features, system enhancements, bug fixes, operational limitations, and scheduled releases, collaborating closely with software developers, QA teams, and technical subject matter experts to gather accurate technical information, utilizing enterprise documentation and service management tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, ServiceNow, and SharePoint, maintaining strict adherence to version control standards, document lifecycle management protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements, conducting editorial reviews, formatting consistency checks, and technical accuracy verifications across all published deliverables, preparing comprehensive user manuals, API documentation, and system administration guides, and managing application requirements. You will utilize your proactive analytical and writing skills to resolve complex documentation gaps under strict project delivery timelines. Furthermore, you will manage application requirements ensuring strict compliance with the minimum 3 years experience requirement and Abu Dhabi local preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and manage accurate technical documentation, system manuals, and software release notes for enterprise platforms.
• Document new software features, functional enhancements, bug fixes, known limitations, and release schedules.
• Collaborate seamlessly with software developers, QA engineers, and technical subject matter experts to gather technical specifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, English, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive professional experience in technical writing and software documentation.
• Strong, demonstrable hands‑on professional expertise preparing software release notes, technical documentation, and system updates.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical experience documenting enterprise software systems and digital platforms.
• Deep practical proficiency in enterprise documentation and collaboration tools including Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Word.
• Solid practical experience in version control principles, document lifecycle management, and audit compliance requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with outstanding ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear user guides.
• Strong collaboration and interviewing skills when working with software engineers, QA teams, and technical subject matter experts.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility and physical availability for a 1-year contract engagement on-site in Abu Dhabi, UAE (Locals preferred).
