Job summary

Helm Grow, partnered with a growing tanker fleet operator in Dubai, seeks a Technical Superintendent to own a designated group of tanker vessels and manage their day-to-day technical needs. You’ll work closely with Chief Engineers and Masters on board and with the wider operations team ashore to plan maintenance, dry-docking, budgets, class and flag requirements, and PSC compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chief Engineer or equivalent senior role with shore-based technical vessel management.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance, dry-docking, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Dubai-based role with UAE/GCC exposure.

Job description

We’re partnered with a growing tanker fleet operator in Dubai who are looking to appoint a Technical Superintendent.

This is a hands‑on role with real ownership of a designated group of tanker vessels. You’ll be responsible for their day‑to‑day technical management, working closely with the Chief Engineers and Masters onboard as well as the wider operations team ashore.

Your remit will cover maintenance and repairs, dry‑docking, technical budgets, planned maintenance, class and flag requirements and PSC compliance, as well as coordinating with class societies, suppliers and repair yards.

We’re looking to speak with experienced tanker professionals who have sailed as Chief Engineer, or at an equivalent senior engineering level, and have since built shore‑based experience in technical vessel management.

The role is based in Dubai and sits directly within a growing tanker fleet operation covering the UAE and wider GCC.
