Job summary

Client of Spinnaker Global Limited seeks an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee offshore unit maintenance, ensure vessels meet highest standards and maximize fleet availability for safe operations. Role centers on technical leadership and hands-on support to vessel crews.

Key duties include budgeting, maintenance planning, major surveys, performance analysis, and AMS/AMOS system adoption, with escalation of critical issues to the Fleet Manager. GCC experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Competency DP License is mandatory.
• Degree in Nautical Studies or Marine Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in maritime/technical roles, or 3 years as Chief Engineer on DP2 offshore vessels.

Responsibilities

• Support the Fleet Manager in annual maintenance budgets and 5-year forecasts.
• Plan and oversee planned maintenance, including major yard periods, class and surveys.
• Analyse maintenance execution and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure AMOS maintenance system adoption across vessels and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Escalate critical technical issues to Fleet Manager and support barge crew development.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical performance of designated offshore units The role is critical in ensuring vessels are maintained to the highest standards maximizing fleet availability and utilization while supporting safe and efficient operations

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Fleet Manager in preparing annual maintenance budgets and 5-year maintenance forecasts for barges
• Calculate and manage emergency spare parts stock ensuring accurate and up-to-date records onboard vessels
• Plan schedule and oversee execution of planned maintenance in line with company policies procedures and systems
• Plan schedule and manage major shipyard maintenance periods including class special and intermediate surveys
• Analyse the effectiveness of planned maintenance execution and drive continuous improvement
• Conduct periodic inspections of assigned barges to ensure maintenance tasks are satisfactorily completed
• Participate in vessel mobilizations including kick-off follow-up and close-out meetings and inspections
• Ensure all downtime and defects are recorded root cause analyses are conducted and corrective actions are implemented
• Act as the technical subject matter expert supporting the Chief Engineer and Fleet Manager
• Ensure effective adoption and utilization of the AMOS maintenance system across assigned vessels
• Support the development and implementation of technical policies procedures and tools
• Escalate critical technical and maintenance issues to the Fleet Manager as required
• Support the Operations Superintendent in the supervision and development of barge crews
• Provide hands-on technical support to vessel crews including troubleshooting and repair guidance
• Functionally report into the Technical Department Chief Engineer (Unlimited)
