Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the IT Operations Engineering & Support Team in the UAE. You will design and maintain scalable infrastructure across hybrid environments, automate deployment and monitoring, and drive reliability through SLAs/SLOs and incident postmortems.

The role requires 3–5 years in systems/DevOps, cloud (Azure/AWS), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles.
• Senior-level experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
• Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, automation, and enterprise security practices (AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, storage, backup, monitoring, certificates).
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems (installation, configuration, monitoring, hardening).
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Distributed systems and microservices understanding.
• Certifications such as Azure/AWS, ITIL, or SRE-focused credentials.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments
• Maintain and upgrade systems including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services
• Develop automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response
• Monitor system health using dashboards, alerts, and telemetry tools (e.g., DataDog, Kibana)
• Conduct root cause analysis and postmortems for major incidents
• Collaborate with software engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure operational excellence
• Establish and refine service-level agreements (SLAs), service-level objectives (SLOs), and error budgets to guide reliability efforts
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection standards, and audit requirements
• Document system configurations and procedures, and create troubleshooting guides
