Job summary

AL TARIQ in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage Windows Server systems, networks, and hybrid cloud environments in a demanding data center setting.

You will work with virtualization, storage, DR planning, and security, ensuring high availability and scalable architectures. A Bachelor's in IT and 5–7 years of relevant experience, plus MCSA/MCSE, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related IT field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE are required; additional certifications (VMware, Azure, CCNA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server systems through installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Configure and manage networks including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN.
• Use monitoring and backup tools to ensure reliability and troubleshooting.
• Administer virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper‑V) and manage virtual infrastructures.
• Operate on‑premises and in the cloud in a Hybrid Environment.
• Manage storage with SAN/NAS and optimize performance.
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies, backups, and business continuity.
• Contribute to system architecture for scalable, reliable, and secure IT infrastructure.
• Oversee data center operations including servers, racks, power, cooling, and network.
• Provide guidance to IT staff and ensure safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and optimization for high availability.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT infrastructure and services.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strong experience in managing Windows Server systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN.
• Experience with monitoring and maintenance tools, including performance monitoring, backup solutions, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V) and capable of managing virtual environments efficiently.
• Ability to manage and operate systems on‑premises and in the cloud (Hybrid Environment).
• Experience in storage systems management, including SAN/NAS, storage allocation, and performance optimization.
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, backup planning, and business continuity procedures.
• Participate in system architecture and design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure.
