Job summary

DICETEK LLC is seeking a System Analyst – SRE (BASE24 / Payment Switching) in Abu Dhabi. This contract role requires deep hands-on experience with BASE24 platforms, ISO8583 messaging, and payment schemes to ensure secure, reliable processing of transactions.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi with office presence. The successful candidate will lead incident management, RCA, and performance tuning across databases and middleware, including SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, in a high-availability

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in production/application support and Site Reliability Engineering for cards payment technology environments.
• Experience with BASE24 Classic and/or BASE24-eps, including authorization processing and switch configuration.
• Strong knowledge of ISO8583 messaging, Visa/Mastercard/UAE Switch schemes, and payment card workflows.
• Hands-on with IBM MQ, APIs/web services, Linux/Unix/AIX, Windows Server, and load balancers.

Job Description

Years of Experience *

8 – 10

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in production/application support, Site Reliability Engineering, infrastructure support for cards payment technology environments.

Required Skills *

• Payments domain: ATM Acquiring, Debit Card Authorization, POS and E-Commerce switching, card issuing/acquiring, EMV/contactless, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks and disputes.
• BASE24: BASE24 Classic and/or BASE24-eps, authorization processing, transaction routing, switch configuration, network interfaces and settlement processing.
• Messaging and schemes: ISO8583, Visa, Mastercard, UAE Switch, tokenization and 3-D Secure.
• Infrastructure and middleware: IBM MQ, APIs/web services, Linux/Unix/AIX, Windows Server, middleware and load balancers.
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL; strong SQL development and performance-analysis skills.
• Security: HSM, PKI, TLS/SSL, encryption standards, cryptographic key management and PCI-DSS.
• SRE and operations: incident/problem management, RCA, observability, resilience, performance, capacity, automation and production readiness.
• Tools and engineering: Dynatrace/Splunk/Grafana or equivalent, Python/Shell scripting, CI/CD, DevOps, Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, stakeholder-management and decision‑making skills.
• strong hands‑on experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Ability to develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and performance tuning scripts.
• Expertise in transaction analysis, reconciliation reporting, authorization trace analysis, and settlement data investigation using SQL.
• Experience in query optimization, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, and database performance troubleshooting.

Required Experience / Knowledge Areas *

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Banking and Payments Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience supporting BASE24 or BASE24‑eps platforms.
• Strong experience in ATM Acquiring, Debit Card Authorization and payment switching environments.
• Experience supporting Visa, Mastercard, UAE Switch and related scheme integrations or certifications.
• Strong understanding of ISO8583 message processing and the end‑to‑end card‑transaction lifecycle.
• Experience supporting 24x7 high‑volume, high‑availability production systems and critical incidents.
• Experience in requirements analysis, impact assessment, system integration, SIT/UAT, release management and production readiness.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, security controls, HA/DR, RTO/RPO, performance and capacity management.
• Proven collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors and payment schemes.
