Job summary

Tetr is seeking a Capstone Coach to join the Capstone team, supporting student entrepreneurs as they build, test and execute ventures in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This senior role combines startup judgment, mentorship, and rigorous evaluation across multiple modules.

Initial term places students in India’s consumer market for sixteen weeks, then expands to Dubai, with a focus on real-world validation, market readiness, and scalable revenue strategies.

• Experience in startups, venture building, product, growth, strategy, consulting or founder support.

Responsibilities

• Coach an assigned portfolio of student ventures from opportunity identification to prototype, validation and final presentation.
• Run regular one-on-one and small-group office hours to support progress and unblock execution.
• Help students break down complex startup concepts into practical next steps.
• Guide teams in selecting meaningful industry opportunities and understanding where they can create real value.
• Push teams to validate ideas through behavioral evidence and maintain a high bar for proof of demand.
• Mentor teams on customer discovery, brand positioning, product prioritization, venture positioning, and pitch readiness.
• Track progress with milestones, blockers, revenue and trajectory.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry advisors to ensure timely support for students.
• Facilitate teaching sessions, reviews and structured working sessions during modules.
• Prepare students for capstone moments including peer reviews and Demo Day.
• Maintain academic rigour of the capstone program and grade submissions.

About this role

The Capstone team works closely with student entrepreneurs as they build, test, and execute ventures in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can combine strong execution, attention to detail, and empathy to support students through the realities of building.

Term 1 places students inside India’s high‑velocity consumer market for their first real venture build. Over sixteen weeks, each team designs, launches, and scales a revenue‑generating consumer brand from scratch, under genuine market pressure rather than in a simulation. Demand is proven only by customer action, money changing hands, repeat orders, and conversions in a live marketplace. What a team builds here becomes the foundation it takes global in Dubai the following term.

The Capstone Coach plays a central role in helping student teams move from broad ideas to sharper strategy, stronger execution, and real‑world validation. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can combine startup judgment, structured mentorship, and high standards to support a portfolio of student ventures through an intensive build cycle.

Specifically, this role will involve

• Coaching an assigned portfolio of student venture teams from opportunity identification to prototype, validation, and final presentation.
• Running regular one‑on‑one and small‑group office hours to support progress, challenge thinking, and unblock execution.
• Helping students break down complex startup, business, and brand concepts into practical next steps.
• Guiding teams in selecting meaningful industry opportunities and understanding where they can create real value.
• Pushing teams to validate ideas through behavioral evidence, not just stated interest, and maintain a high bar for proof of demand.
• Mentoring teams on customer discovery, brand positioning, product prioritization, venture positioning, and pitch readiness.
• Tracking the progress of assigned teams with a clear view of milestones, blockers, revenue, and overall trajectory.
• Working closely with faculty, industry advisors, and internal program stakeholders to ensure students receive timely, coherent support.
• Facilitating occasional teaching sessions, reviews, feedback discussions, or structured working sessions during modules and studio sprints.
• Preparing students for key capstone moments, including peer reviews, Demo Day, and the Bazaars
• Maintaining academic rigour of the capstone program and grade student submissions.

• Experience in startups, venture building, product, growth, strategy, consulting, or founder support.
• Strong coach who balances encouragement with rigor and holds teams to a high standard of thinking and execution.
• Clear communication and can make abstract ideas practical and actionable for student founders.
• Operating experience in a structured way and can track multiple teams in parallel without losing depth or context.
• Enjoyment working closely with ambitious students in a fast‑moving, high‑touch environment.
• Strong business judgment and can distinguish activity from real progress.
• Experience mentoring early‑stage teams, student founders, or entrepreneurs.
• Comfortability engaging with AI‑enabled venture ideas, customer validation, and early‑stage experimentation.
