Role Context This position provides field-level assurance that structural construction is progressing in accordance with approved plans, technical specifications, contract requirements and applicable UAE standards. The Structural Inspector will examine completed and ongoing works, evaluate material quality and create an accurate record of site conditions throughout project execution. The inspector 's findings help engineering and project management teams detect deficiencies before they develop into larger quality, safety or schedule concerns. Timely reporting, follow-up inspections and clear communication with contractors are therefore central to protecting structural integrity and maintaining project accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect structural works associated with buildings, bridges, foundations and other infrastructure components.
  • Monitor construction progress and compare field conditions with approved drawings and technical specifications.
  • Verify contractor compliance with structural requirements, contractual obligations and applicable standards.
  • Examine construction materials and workmanship for conformity with approved project criteria.
  • Review material certificates, test reports and supporting quality records before acceptance where applicable.
  • Identify structural deficiencies, non-conforming work and potential safety concerns during field inspections.
  • Record inspection observations using accurate measurements, technical notes and photographic evidence.
  • Produce detailed daily inspection reports covering work progress, quality observations and outstanding issues.
  • Maintain traceable records of inspections, photographs, test results and corrective actions.
  • Communicate significant findings promptly to contractors, engineers and project management representatives.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with responsible parties and monitor agreed remediation measures.
  • Perform follow-up inspections to confirm that deficiencies have been addressed satisfactorily.
  • Review construction plans and project documentation before inspections to understand applicable acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and provide objective assessments of structural construction activities.
  • Use inspection software and project management tools to record and track field information where required.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input based on observed site conditions.
  • Maintain awareness of UAE building codes, structural standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support resolution of field issues through evidence-based observations and practical recommendations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project personnel to prevent inspection issues from disrupting subsequent construction activities.
  • Maintain complete documentation suitable for quality audits, project records and handover requirements.

Ideal Profile The position requires at least 6 years of experience in construction inspection and contract compliance involving structural projects. Practical exposure to buildings, foundations, bridges or comparable structural infrastructure will be valuable. Candidates should understand structural assessment and construction quality control procedures and be capable of comparing actual site conditions against drawings, specifications and acceptance requirements. Knowledge of UAE building codes, structural standards and local regulatory requirements is important. The successful candidate should also be comfortable reviewing material certifications and test results and documenting inspection evidence accurately. Experience with digital inspection software or project management systems is desirable, together with proficiency in photographic documentation and structured field reporting. Strong analytical judgment is needed to distinguish acceptable work from deficiencies requiring corrective action. A relevant structural inspection certification will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
