Job summary

J10 Consulting FZ LLE seeks experienced Structural Inspectors for high voltage OHL utilities projects in Abu Dhabi. Immediate joining on a 3-month outsource contract through J10 Consulting.

Ideal candidates have 8-10+ years in civil construction supervision, with proven UAE project experience and ability to read blueprints and specs, ensuring quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Global Project Supervision Consultancy client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced Consultant Structural Inspectors to join their team in Abu Dhabi working on high voltage OHL utilities works across the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Structural Inspector working on similar projects in the UAE. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered. TAQA Approval is highly advantageous. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 month contract basis as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.

Key Responsibilities

• Attending to Inspection Requests IRs submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues ensuring compliance with contractual QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Prepare surveillance report s for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports NCR if required in view of the development of events.
• Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

Structural Inspector Experience: Engineering degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related 8-10+ years of relevant experience in construction supervision of major infrastructure / utilities projects. Must have relevant experience working in a similar role in an engineering consultancy or supervision consultant. Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
