Job summary

The Cigna Group's Dubai-based team is seeking an Underwriter to join the Middle East Underwriting unit. You will conduct fundamental risk analysis, rate development, pricing, and consultative underwriting to drive profitable growth and earnings.

This role reports to the Underwriting Manager and requires strong knowledge of financial implications and regulatory guidelines. Energetic and growth-minded candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or closely related field.
• Analytics passion and professional qualifications encouraged.
• Understanding of health insurance industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, price and build insurance plans for SME and large corporate clients.
• Perform renewal portfolio analysis and pricing actions with sales teams.
• Manage portfolio profitability, persistency and growth over time.
• Conduct analytical reviews to identify trends and insights for portfolio management.
• Collaborate with sales and client management to win and retain business.
• Coordinate with operations and clinical teams on product usage.
• Work with finance and actuarial to ensure pricing model effectiveness.
• Investigate non-compliance in benefit adjudication and escalate as needed.
• Provide clear risk exposure instructions to stakeholders.
• Maintain market awareness of competition and customer needs.
