Job summary

Khalifa University is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Procurement and Contracts department on a full-time, on-site basis at the Main Campus in Abu Dhabi. You will support the procurement of goods and services, working with suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality, timely delivery and value.

Responsibilities include processing requisitions, issuing RFQs/requests for proposals, coordinating with suppliers worldwide, and maintaining supplier records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.
• Target experience range: two to five years of relevant procurement experience.
• Knowledge of vendor selection, product specifications, sourcing and contract management.
• Foundational knowledge of procurement planning, vendor management, inventory and logistics.
• Strong communication, collaboration, customer focus and attention to quality.
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and change orders in line with approved procurement plans and budgets.
• Prepare requests for quotations and proposals, identify suppliers, and compare market offerings.
• Coordinate with local, regional and international suppliers and maintain accurate supplier records.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve value, dependable service and timely delivery.
• Maintain procurement reports, price lists and quotation comparisons.
• Coordinate supplier evaluations with requesting departments and keep them informed about their requisitions.
• Handle urgent purchasing requirements and support procurement needs across departments.
• Follow procurement policies and procedures, including confidentiality, information security and workplace safety requirements.
