Job summary

Abu Dhabi University is seeking a seasoned Procurement Officer to lead local and international sourcing, contract issuance, and supplier management within the Procurement and Contracts Department. You will ensure end-to-end compliance with ADU policies while delivering best value and timely outcomes.

The role requires 5–7 years in procurement, a relevant degree with certification, and fluency in English and Arabic; ERP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive procurement experience.
• 3 years in an Officer or Supervisory role.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent and procurement certification.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Experience with ERP systems and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in comprehensive procurement planning with deadlines and budgets.
• Manage local and international procurement and contracting activities (RFQ/RFP/ITB/direct contracting).
• Handle major university projects (e.g., annual group medical insurance).
• Train and advise PCD staff on procurement policies and procedures.
• Supervise procurement agents and ensure adherence to ADU policies and ethical processes.
• Ensure fairness, transparency and best value in procurement.
• Prepare monthly procurement status reports and circulate communications internally & externally.
• Manage Blanket Purchase Orders and ERP data entry; monitor yearly PCD projects.
• Act as supplier coordinator and perform supplier assessments and re‑evaluations.
• Serve as ERP Liaison Officer for feature development and support.
