Job summary

Zayed University is seeking a Contracts and Purchasing Specialist to provide efficient, accurate services for internal and external clients in line with university policies. The role focuses on contracts management and purchasing for the university’s campuses, ensuring value for money and timely processing.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in business and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills; Arabic/English

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or similar.
• 2 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.
• Experience in government or higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, reviews, and maintains contractual arrangements.
• Reviews RFIs and RFPs and prepares cost proposals.
• Negotiates and administers contracts and agreements.
• Monitors financial activity of prime and sub-contracts.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and ethics codes of conduct.
• Prepares reports for management approval.
• Advises on risks and commercial positions.
• Liaises with project teams to reflect program of work.
• Conducts pre- and post-contract reviews.
• Places Blanket Purchase Orders, Master Purchasing Agreements, and Annual Service Agreements.
• Purchases goods and services for campuses from local and international sources.
