Job summary

Rixos Hotels in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Storekeeper to oversee hotel stores, inventory, deliveries, and stock movements, ensuring accurate recording in line with purchasing and safety standards. The role requires at least 2 years’ experience in storekeeping within hospitality, a high school diploma, and solid knowledge of stock control, receiving, and cost control.

You will work closely with F&B, Purchasing, and Cost Control to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Storekeeper or inventory role in hotel or resort.
• Hospitality, Supply Chain, Procurement qualification is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, record, and distribute all incoming and outgoing goods to the appropriate departments and storage areas.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, deliveries, issues, and returns.
• Maintain effective control of central stores and ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of goods.
• Process orders through the hotel's online procurement system and coordinate stock replenishment as required.
• Conduct regular inventory and stock counts and ensure accurate stock records.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety requirements for F&B products.
• Monitor and approve stock issues in accordance with procedures.
• Collaborate with F&B, Purchasing, Cost Control and other departments for smooth store operations.

Job Description

STOREKEEPER

Responsible for managing the hotel's stores, inventory, deliveries, and stock movements, ensuring all goods are received, stored, issued, and recorded accurately in accordance with Rixos Hotels' purchasing, procurement, health and safety, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, record, and distribute all incoming and outgoing goods to the appropriate departments and storage areas.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, deliveries, issues, and returns.
• Maintain effective control of central stores and ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of goods.
• Process orders through the hotel's online procurement system and coordinate stock replenishment as required.
• Conduct regular inventory and stock counts and ensure accurate stock records.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and food safety requirements, particularly for food and beverage products.
• Monitor and approve beverage, stewarding, operating equipment, and outlet stock issues in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct regular spot inventories in F&B outlets and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Support recipe costing by updating purchase prices and assisting with costing of new and existing menus.
• Maintain accurate beverage recipe information in the relevant hotel systems.
• Conduct yield tests for meat, fish, juices, and other applicable products to support effective cost control.
• Verify F&B checks against KOTs and support periodic analysis of F&B revenue and costs.
• Conduct market surveys for food products, particularly fruits and vegetables, to support effective purchasing and cost management.
• Monitor stock and operating costs and highlight significant variances or cost increases to the relevant management.
• Maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, grooming, punctuality, and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with F&B, Purchasing, Cost Control, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
• Maintain good product knowledge and awareness of hotel facilities and operational requirements.
• Attend required training and remain familiar with all relevant company policies, procedures, and Operational Standards.
• Provide flexible support to other hotel areas based on operational and business requirements.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory, Receiving, Cost Control, or similar role, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
• High school diploma or relevant vocational qualification; a qualification in Hospitality, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of stock control, inventory management, receiving and issuing procedures, and cost control.
