Job summary

Ali & Sons in Dubai seeks a Storekeeper to maintain accurate parts inventory, coordinate stock orders and local purchases, and ensure warehouse operations meet company and dealer standards.

You will ensure timely availability of parts, proper storage, and coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, branches, and internal departments. English fluency is essential; Arabic preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in parts inventory or warehouse operations.
• Automotive dealership or workshop parts experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in English; Arabic helpful.
• Computer literacy with standard office apps.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on parts orders and local purchase orders to ensure timely availability of required parts.
• Receive and verify incoming stock against supplier invoices and supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies, shortages or damages in incoming shipments and initiate claims where required.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders regarding shipments, delivery schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims for stock damaged during transportation.
• Prepare stock orders based on system demand via SAP and submit STOs to the PDC.
• Prepare VOR orders and coordinate with Inventory Controller to place orders.
• Follow up on VOR orders and monitor their status.
• Prepare POs for local purchases based on workshop and retail counter requirements.
• Ensure purchased parts are received in first-class condition and match invoices and requirements.
• Follow SOPs, inventory procedures and documentation requirements.

Role Purpose The Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate parts inventory coordinating stock orders and local purchases and ensuring that warehouse operations comply with company and dealer standards The role ensures timely availability of parts accurate stock records proper storage and location management and effective coordination with suppliers freight forwarders branches insurance companies and internal departments

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on parts orders and local purchase orders to ensure timely availability of required parts
• Receive and verify incoming stock against supplier invoices and supporting documentation
• Identify document and report discrepancies shortages or damages in incoming shipments and initiate claims where required
• Coordinate with freight forwarders regarding incoming and outgoing shipments delivery schedules and related documentation
• Coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims for stock damaged during transportation
• Prepare stock orders based on system-generated demand through SAP and submit Stock Transfer Orders STOs to the PDC
• Prepare VOR Vehicle Off Road orders and coordinate with the Inventory Controller to place the required orders
• Follow up on VOR orders monitor their status and maintain accurate records
• Prepare Purchase Orders POs for local purchases based on workshop and retail counter requirements
• Ensure all purchased parts and materials are received in first-class condition are fit for their intended purpose and match the approved invoice and purchase requirements
• Strictly follow established SOPs inventory procedures and documentation requirements
• Control and monitor parts transfers to and from other branches
• Create and maintain appropriate parts locations and storage systems in coordination with warehouse personnel
• Maintain accurate bin locations and storage identities to ensure parts can be easily located tracked and controlled
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper condition of the warehouse shelving stock machinery and equipment
• Regularly inspect and report the condition of warehouse machinery equipment and vehicles
• Ensure stock is properly secured and protected against unauthorized access withdrawal loss or damage
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the warehouse location system at all times
• Coordinate with the Accounts Department and ensure all required documents including GRNs are submitted on time
• Conduct periodic perpetual inventory counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy
• Identify slow-moving obsolete damaged and defective parts and report findings to the National Parts Manager
• Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock planning to minimize shortages and excess inventory
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements stock orders transfers purchases and related documentation
• Ensure warehouse and inventory operations comply with applicable health safety quality and environmental standards
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the National Parts Manager

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 5 years of relevant experience in parts inventory, warehouse operations, automotive parts, or a similar capacity.
• Experience in automotive dealership or workshop parts operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of parts inventory management, stock control, warehouse operations, and procurement processes .
• Experience handling VOR orders, stock transfers, local purchases, GRNs, and inventory counts .
• Practical experience using SAP or similar ERP/inventory management systems .
• Good understanding of warehouse storage, bin management, stock location systems, and inventory accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and inventory issues.
• Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification .
• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of standard computer applications.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with suppliers, branches, freight forwarders, insurance companies, and internal departments.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities while meeting operational deadlines.
