Job summary

Versatile International Consultants in the UAE seeks an experienced Natural Stone Consultant (Projects) to advise clients, architects and contractors on selecting, specifying and applying natural stone. You will guide material choices to meet design intent and project specs across the full value chain.

You'll engage with quarry, fabrication, and on-site installation activities, ensuring quality, timely delivery and adherence to technical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, architecture, interior design, geology, or related field.
• 5+ years in natural stone consulting, design, or sales is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of natural stone properties and installation practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Versatile International is the Middle East's first fully integrated Stone Project Management Consultancy, with operations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Since 2020, we have established ourselves as a trusted specialist in natural stone project delivery, contributing to some of the Middle East's most prestigious developments. We are currently supporting Qiddiya, one of Saudi Arabia's flagship giga-projects, and have over 100 active task orders across the Diriyah Gate development. Our work spans luxury hotels, museums, heritage centres, public spaces, libraries, cultural destinations, and high-end residential communities, helping shape some of the Kingdom's most iconic landmarks.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Natural Stone Consultant (Projects) to join our growing team.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, architects, designers, and contractors, providing expert guidance on the selection, specification, and application of natural stone. You will help deliver tailored solutions while ensuring quality, technical excellence, and successful project delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle.

This is a unique opportunity to work across the full natural stone value chain. Depending on project requirements, you may become involved in quarry and factory production, collaborating with suppliers to oversee material selection, fabrication, quality control, and production processes. You may also support on-site installation oversight, working alongside contractors and project teams to help ensure the stone is installed in accordance with project specifications and the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand project requirements and recommend suitable natural stone solutions.

• Collaborate closely with architects, designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure material selections align with design intent and technical requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends, innovative materials, and emerging technologies within the natural stone sector.
• Support quality assurance by ensuring materials meet project specifications prior to delivery and installation.
• Educate clients and project teams on natural stone characteristics, maintenance requirements, and installation best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Geology, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Ideally 5+ years' experience within the natural stone industry in consulting, specification, design, production, or sales. However, we are also keen to hear from motivated candidates with less experience who are passionate about natural stone and eager to develop their careers.
• Strong knowledge of natural stone properties, applications, fabrication, and installation, or a demonstrated willingness and ability to learn.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD (2D is sufficient; 3D is not required) is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Project is an advantage.
