Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture with 15+ years of work experience, incl. 5+ years in UAE.
• Experience on medium/large-scale international architectural projects.
• Familiarity with international design standards (British/American) and local regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of architectural tools: Revit, Architectural AI Tools, AutoCAD, CSI and NBS specifications.
• Experience dealing with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Dubai Development Authority and Dubai Civil Defence.

• Meet with clients with Project Director and contribute to the project brief.
• Manage design projects from concept through Developed Design, Technical Design & Construction Documentation.

JOB TITLE & JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Architect

John R Harris & Partners - Dubai are currently looking for experienced Sr. Technical Architect to join our growing team to support recent project appointments . The ideal candidate shall be a creative architect with strong technical capabilities with minimum 15 years of work experience of which 5 years shall be within UAE. The candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills and shall have the ability to work and deliver projects in a collaborative and professional work environment.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The TechnicalArchitect role includes the following:

• Meeting with clients accompanying Project Director and contributing in preparation of the project brief. The Technical Architect will be responsible for delivering tasks pertaining to design projects, working with the team to complete different deliverables in compliance with the company policies and best practice standards.
• Managing design projects from concept development, Developed Design , Technical Design & Construction Documentation.
• Revit work flow management , model management and content creation.
• Regular model auditing and clash detections simulations.
• Modify and revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
• Preparation of floorplans, elevations, sections and technical details for the project. Develop and modify detailed technical drawings from design sketches, specifications, and notes.
• Preparation of final drawings documentations (Tender or Construction Set) including drawings, specifications, 3D model and CAD files.
• Preparation of the advanced technical drawing sets as part of Project Technical & Construction Documentation packages.
• Ensure design specifications align to safety standards and governmental regulations. Validate that drawings are in compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
• Assisting in tender documentation & specifications.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in architecture with minimum 15 years work experience, with minimum 5 years experience in UAE.
• Experience of working in medium and large-scale projects in international architectural practices.
