Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji International FZE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Architect to lead the architectural design across phases, ensuring alignment with client requirements and UAE codes.

You will review drawings, coordinate with consultants, monitor construction, mentor juniors, and drive BIM-enabled design using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to ensure timely delivery and design integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering is required.
• Minimum 10+ years in construction with a technical office background.
• Proven GCC/UAE experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM; familiarity with SketchUp/Rhino is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Job description

• Lead the architectural design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations.

• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and material selections.

• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority approvals, and sustainability standards.

• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and project teams to integrate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.

• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.

• Resolve design-related issues promptly to avoid delays and rework.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and draftsmen.

• Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery and cost control.

• Stay updated on industry trends, innovative materials, and technologies to enhance design quality and efficiency.

• Experience in shop drawings preparation and good in detailing. ID experience is advantage

• Experience in managing and coordination of multiple disciplines and Subcontractors.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering.

• Experience: At least 10+ years in the construction field, with mandatory experience in a technical office within a contracting company.

• Proven experience in GCC countries, especially the UAE, is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM; knowledge of SketchUp/Rhino and 3D design software is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for presentations.

• Knowledge of Navisworks / BIM 360 (ACC) for clash detection and BIM coordination is an added advantage.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
