Job summary

John R Harris & Partners in Dubai seeks a Sr. Technical Architect to lead design and delivery on major projects. You will drive concept to construction documentation, manage Revit workflows, and ensure compliance with international standards and local codes.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of architecture experience, including 5+ years in the UAE, strong client communication, and a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture with 15+ years of work experience, incl. 5+ years in UAE.
• Experience on medium/large-scale international architectural projects.
• Familiarity with international design standards (British/American) and local regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of architectural tools: Revit, Architectural AI Tools, AutoCAD, CSI and NBS specifications.
• Experience dealing with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Dubai Development Authority and Dubai Civil Defence.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients with Project Director and contribute to the project brief.
• Manage design projects from concept through Developed Design, Technical Design & Construction Documentation.
• Oversee Revit workflows, model management and content creation.
• Perform regular model audits and clash detections.
• Prepare floorplans, elevations, sections and technical details.
• Prepare final drawings and CAD files for Tender or Construction sets.
• Ensure design specifications align with safety standards and local codes.
• Assist in tender documentation and specifications.
