hudsonmanpower in the UAE is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with offshore exposure to lead design activities for marine projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with the ability to prepare heat load, equipment sizing, piping and ducting layouts, and related design deliverables.
You will participate in FAT/SAT, review vendor offers, and coordinate with the design team.

Carry out duties assigned by superior for day-to-day operations and to ensure them to compliance with the established standards and procedures
Prepare Concept design input, preliminary or detail design for HVAC system.
Undertaking design verification and calculations, as required.
Coordination with design and drafting personnel for checking and issuing of drawings and design documents.
Provide estimation support.
Review of vendor technical offers, compliance statements.
Attending model reviews with client.
Preparation of documentation for approval of Class and statutory bodies.
Internal review, comment and approval of design deliverables such as Heat load calculation, Equipment sizing calculation, Room positive pressure calculation, DIDs, Airflow Diagram, Ducting layouts, PIDs, Chilled water flow diagram, Piping layouts, Ducting and Pipe sizing calculation, ESP and head calculation, HVAC foundation and Penetration layouts, Yard typical installation practice for HVAC installation, HVAC Equipment’s vendor data sheet, etc.
Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning of complete HVAC Sub-Systems designed for the projects.
Attending FAT in vendors manufacturing plant for visual mechanical inspection and performance test if any as needed by project requirement.
Attending HVAC System Site Acceptance Test (SAT) in yard.
Review client specifications and prepare clear scope matrix, raise TQ and clarifications
Exposure to HVAC Design software, Drafting & Modelling tools.
Experience of Marine & offshore HVAC codes, Classification Society Rules and Statutory Regulations.
Good coordination and presentation skills.
Ability to develop, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation
Thorough understanding of technical drawings, plans and data.
Possess knowledge of MS Office applications.
HVAC Design offshore experience is mandatory
