Job summary

hudsonmanpower in the UAE is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with offshore exposure to lead design activities for marine projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with the ability to prepare heat load, equipment sizing, piping and ducting layouts, and related design deliverables.

You will participate in FAT/SAT, review vendor offers, and coordinate with the design team.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of HVAC design experience with offshore exposure.
Experience with marine and offshore HVAC codes and classification society rules.
Ability to review and prepare design deliverables such as heat load, piping layouts, ducting layouts, and related documents.
Strong coordination and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
Prepare concept, preliminary or detailed design for HVAC systems.
Undertake design verifications and calculations as required.
Coordinate with design and drafting teams for drawings and documents; provide estimation support.
Review vendor offers and attend client model reviews.
Prepare documentation for class and statutory approvals.
Pre-commissioning & commissioning of HVAC sub-systems.
Attend FAT at vendor plant and SAT on site as needed.
Review client specs and prepare clear scope matrices; raise TQs.
