Role Description

The HVAC Project Engineer role at Jobsomega is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The HVAC Project Engineer will oversee the design, planning, and execution of HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing project requirements, preparing and validating HVAC designs and drawings, coordinating with CAD technicians, and collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. The role involves monitoring installation activities, supervising testing and commissioning, diagnosing system issues, and providing guidance on maintenance and repair strategies. The HVAC Project Engineer will also prepare technical reports, support cost estimates, and contribute to continuous improvement of HVAC project workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in HVAC Engineering with hands-on experience in HVAC systems and project execution.
• Proficiency in HVAC Design, including load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout.
• Ability to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to create, review, and modify HVAC drawings and schematics.
• Practical skills in HVAC Maintenance & Repair, including troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience working on construction or building services projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices for HVAC systems and building services.
• Effective communication, coordination, and documentation skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and safety.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in HVAC design, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and engineering practices.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD.
• Experience with chilled water systems, AHUs, FCUs, FAHUs, VRF/VRV systems, pumps, ductwork, and HVAC controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, technical submittals, progress reports, and engineering documentation.
