Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the fully integrated construction powerhouse behind Azizi Developments, seeks a Senior Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, budgets and tender documents. You will review drawings, prepare BOQs, develop unit rate build-ups, obtain quotations, and collaborate with multiple teams to refine pricing.

The role demands 10–15 years of Estimation experience, BE/BSc Civil Engineering, and proficiency with Candy Software.

Qualifications

• BE or BSc Civil Engineering degree required.
• 10–15 years of experience in estimation and tendering in construction.
• Proficiency with Candy Software for cost estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents for cost estimation.
• Prepare and review BOQs for various trades and prepare unit rate build-ups.
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on quantities, costs, labor, plant, and subcontractor inputs.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations and evaluate offers.
• Coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, Operations and Commercial teams during estimation.
• Identify discrepancies, risks, and exclusions affecting project pricing and budgeting.
• Prepare tender summaries and cost plans, incorporating approved quotations and market rates.
• Maintain cost databases, historical rates, and benchmark rates; update as needed.
• Assist in value engineering proposals and cost-saving alternatives.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare and review BOQs for various construction trades.
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on quantities, material costs, labour, plant, subcontractor costs, and other project requirements.
• Prepare unit rate build-ups and analyze rates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial offers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments to clarify scope and pricing.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, exclusions, and potential cost risks in tender documents.
• Prepare tender summaries and comparative statements for management review.
• Incorporate approved quotations and market rates into project estimates.
• Prepare preliminary budgets, cost plans, and project feasibility estimates.
• Review drawings and identify design changes or scope variations affecting project cost.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical rates, supplier quotations, and benchmark rates.
• Coordinate with the Design, Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Commercial teams during the estimation process.
• Assist in preparing value engineering proposals and cost-saving alternatives.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within the required deadlines.
• Maintain proper records of tender documents, quotations, assumptions, exclusions, and estimation calculations.
• Carry out any other estimation and cost-related duties assigned by management.
• Having well site experience is additional requirement
• Experience/knowledge to prepare labor productivity Cost.
• Through candy software estimation is very essential requirements.
• Identifying potential risks related to costs, scope changes and other Factor that could impact project pricing.
• Should have excellent communication skills and theoretical knowledge
• For MEP - thorough knowledge of MEP system

Requirements:

• BE or B.sc Civil Engineering
• Min: 10-15 years of experience in Estimation
• Computer and Software Proficiency - Candy Software must
• Functional Pre-Requisites Skills-ability to read and interpret technical documents
