Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, part of Azizi Developments, seeks a Senior Estimation Engineer in Dubai to prepare detailed construction estimates, budgets, tender pricing, and feasibility assessments for multidisciplinary packages. The role requires extensive estimation experience, strong site exposure, and Candy Software proficiency.

The candidate will coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate pricing reflecting scope and market conditions.

Qualifications

• BE or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in estimation.
• Strong construction site experience is additionally required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Experience preparing detailed construction estimates and BOQs.
• Knowledge of labour productivity costing.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent communication skills and strong theoretical knowledge.
• For MEP-related estimation, thorough knowledge of MEP systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare and review BOQs covering relevant construction trades.
• Develop detailed cost estimates based on quantities, materials, labour, plant, subcontractor costs, and other project requirements.
• Prepare unit-rate build-ups and analyze rates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Prepare labour productivity costs and incorporate them into project estimates.
• Use Candy Software for construction estimation and cost development.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial offers.
• Incorporate approved quotations and current market rates into project estimates.
• Prepare tender summaries and comparative statements for management review.
• Develop preliminary budgets, cost plans, and project feasibility estimates.
• Complete estimates accurately and within required tender deadlines.
