Job summary

LT-Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental programs at project sites. The role focuses on preventing incidents, promoting a safety culture, and minimizing environmental impact, while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will conduct site inspections, risk assessments, inductions, and training, and will investigate incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory or preferred.
• Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or First Aid are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement site-specific HSE plans and procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and regulations.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
• Monitor environmental aspects including waste management and resource conservation.
• Maintain HSE records and documentation.
• Coordinate emergency drills and preparedness activities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on EHS matters.
