The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting quality wines, providing expert advice on wine pairing, and ensuring a superior level of customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Advise customers on selection of wines, taking into account their individual tastes and preferences
• Suggest food and wine pairings that will enhance the customer's dining experience
• Provide detailed information about wines, wineries, vintages, regions etc.
• Organize tastings in order to promote sales of wines
• Develop relationships with suppliers in order to ensure access to the best quality wines at competitive prices
• Keep up to date with market trends and new products
• Ensure compliance with safety standards when handling wine bottles and glasses

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum qualification: Certifications from a recognized Sommelier school is preferred but not required
• Passionate about wine; knowledgeable about different grape varieties, vintages, regions etc.
• Excellent customer service skills; able to create an enjoyable experience for customers
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills; able to explain complex issues in a clear manner
