Job summary

India Abroad is seeking an experienced Sommelier for our Dubai restaurant. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in a sommelier position, with strong knowledge of wines and spirits and excellent customer service.

You will curate wine selections, advise guests, and contribute to the wine program. The successful candidate will manage inventory, develop wine lists, and provide food and wine pairing recommendations, while teaching wine appreciation classes and delivering exceptional guest

Qualifications

• Knowledge of wines and spirits; wine list development.

Job Title: Sommelier

Location: Dubai

Salary: 1100 AED per month

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a sommelier, be knowledgeable about wines and spirits, and have excellent customer service skills.

• The Sommelier will be responsible for providing guests with exceptional wine and beverage selections, including recommendations on food pairings.
• They will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory of wines, spirits, and other beverages;
• developing wine lists;
• recommending food and beverage pairings;
• providing advice on wines;
• and teaching classes on wine appreciation.

The successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills, have an understanding of market trends relating to wine and spirits, knowledge of international grape varieties, regions, appellations etc., a high level of customer service orientation, great organizational skills and attention to detail.
