Job summary

Akamai in Dubai is seeking a Solutions Engineer II to join our Presales Team. You will act as trusted advisor, design cloud and security solutions, and drive end-to-end pre-sales activities.

You will deliver architected demos, run POC trials, collaborate with sales and executives, and work with engineering to become a SME on our platform.

Fluency in Arabic and English is required, and you will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Background in technical pre-sales engineering or customer-facing roles.
• Solid grasp of internet architectures, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with WAF, DDoS protection, Bot Management, and Zero Trust/remote access architectures.
• Ability to explain complex network and security transformations to developers and executives.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pre-sales process, including product demonstrations and technical proposals.
• Architect and execute high-impact demos, Customer Analysis Reports, and POC trials.
• Partner with sales and customer leadership to align initiatives with Akamai capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering to become a Subject Matter Expert and share insights.
• Deliver accurate architectures for web, security, and cloud deployment workflows.

As a Solutions engineer, you won't just wait for a polished roadmap. You will act as a trusted advisor, identifying normalized technical problems, building technical champions within global accounts, and designing fit-for-purpose cloud and security solutions across our entire platform.

As a Solutions Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Driving Pre-Sales Innovation: Own the end-to-end technical pre-sales process, creating new opportunities by demonstrating how Akamai's technology solves real business problems.
• Architecting and executing high-impact product demos, Customer Analysis Reports, and Proof of Concept (POC) trials.
• Partnering with sales and customer executive leadership to align customer initiatives with Akamai's platform capabilities.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to become a Subject Matter Expert, sharing insights through technical content, community engagement, and industry events.
• Delivering Accurate Architectures: Manage technical proposals, ensuring optimal recommendations for complex web, security, and cloud deployment workflows.

• Have Customer-Facing Experience: Background in technical pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architect roles supporting enterprise accounts.
