Job summary
LT-Larsen & Toubro in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Solar PV Electrical Engineer to design and review electrical layouts for rooftop and ground-mounted projects. You will prepare SLDs, verify cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes, and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV plants.
You will coordinate with civil, mechanical, and procurement teams, ensure IEC/IEEE compliance, conduct site inspections, and support grid synchronization and O&M
Qualifications
- Experience in designing and reviewing electrical layouts for solar PV systems.
- Experience with SLDs, cable sizing, earthing and protection schemes.
- Experience supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV plants.
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical layouts for solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted).
- Prepare and verify SLDs, cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV plants.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and procurement teams.
- Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve electrical issues during execution.
- Support grid synchronization, inverter configuration, and performance testing.
- Review vendor drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Assist in O&M planning and troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical reports and as-built documentation.
