Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in United Arab Emirates seeks a Design Lead (Electrical - DC) to review and execute engineering activities across generation estimates, plant layout, DC SLD, module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing layouts, and cable sizing for solar PV power plants. The role also supports BIM 3D modelling and coordinates with Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, MEP teams.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech. in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• 10-12 years of experience in design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants / Power Distribution Projects

Responsibilities

• Provide technical inputs to tendering team
• Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents
• Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule
• Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons; checking sizing calculations and obtaining client approvals
• Review of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Engineering
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks
• Provide support & clarifications to Site Execution team
• Check pre-award evaluation of vendors and forward validation documents to Supply Chain Management
• Inspect equipment from vendors after validation
• Collect inputs for project details from client & Project Engineering Manager
• Coordinate with Operations team and inform Design specifications for approvals
• Check deliverables such as Cable Routing Layout, Cable Tray Layout, Earthing Layout & Lightning Protection Layout
• Provide support to Electrical AC, Civil/Structural for reviewing Vendor drawings
• Submit requirement of man-hours for undertaking & reviewing design & drawings
