Job summary

Larsen & LTOubro in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Manager – Electrical to lead engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and quality control for solar PV projects. You will manage field engineers, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure safety, budget, and schedule adherence.

The role requires 4–8 years in electrical construction with solar PV exposure, along with proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and SCADA/PLC systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 4–8 years in electrical construction and project management, with 2–3 years in solar PV.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics, AutoCAD, and PVsyst reports.
• In-depth knowledge of grid interconnection norms, switchyards, transformer stations, and SCADA/PLC systems.
• Strong leadership, site management, vendor negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Review: Review SLDs, layouts, cable schedules, earthing designs, and protection schemes.
• Project Execution & Site Management: Supervise installation of solar modules, cabling, inverters, HV substations, and grid interconnection.
• Testing & Commissioning: Lead testing and pre-commissioning activities and grid synchronization with DISCOMs.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and local electrical codes; enforce HSE on site.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage contractors and FAT and inspect major electrical components.
