Job summary

talabat is seeking a software engineer to own end-to-end domains within a cross-functional team. You will design, implement, and deliver software addressing real business needs, while continuously improving team practices and SDLC efficiency.

A strong emphasis on lean/ agile values and high-quality automated testing is required. You will work with .NET, Golang, and C#, focusing on scalable architectures (microservices, event-driven, REST).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in Extreme Programming (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, Continuous Refactoring) with .NET, Golang, C#.
• Experience in testing with focus on automated end-to-end quality.
• Experience in distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, RESTful Services).
• Experience working with relational and nonrelational databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience building, maintaining and improving with Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery.
• Understanding of lean/agile values & principles and associated practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product domain within a cross-functional team (engineering, product, data).
• Drive discovery, design, delivery, and post-release outcomes for your domain.
• Write and release software addressing end-to-end problems in small batches.
• Understand scalability and complexity; own the SDLC and innovate accordingly.
• Support and improve team practices to become a self-organized unit.
• Question and simplify our tech org systems and solutions.
