Job summary

talabat in Dubai is seeking a software engineer to own end-to-end features within a cross-functional team (engineering, product, data). You will design, write and ship software that solves real business problems in small batches, following XP, TDD, pair programming and simple design.

You will understand the scalability of services, contribute to the SDLC, and push for continuous improvement, empathy with users, and smarter ways of working.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an XP environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, Continuous Refactoring).
• Proficiency with .NET, Golang and C# is expected.
• Experience with automated end-to-end testing and distributed systems architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional features end-to-end within engineering, product and data teams.
• Participate in continuous discovery of customer needs and problems to drive outcomes.
• Design, write and release software as end-to-end solutions in small batches.
• Understand scalability and complexity, and own the SDLC for your domain.
• Help evolve team practices toward self-organisation and continuous improvement.
• Critically question and simplify tech org systems and processes.
